ST. THOMAS UNIVERSITY: SENIOR SEMINAR IN JOURNALISM, 2018
Sarah Betts is a writer, editor and radio personality based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She came to St. Thomas University and jumped into telling local news and features stories. Sarah has worked as news and managing editor of STU’s paper The Aquinian and as a reporter for CBC and Bell Media. She is a part-time radio personality on 105.3 The FOX, 106.9 Capital FM and 103.5 KHJ, and has also worked with Maclean’s Magazine and Rogers TV. Sarah will graduate in May 2018 with a double major in journalism and Great Books. She is now a reporter with the Fredericton Daily Gleaner.
Angela Bosse is a writer, photographer and videographer from New Hartford, Connecticut, currently living in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Angela will be graduating from St. Thomas University in May with a double major in journalism and communications. She loves telling new stories in creative ways across all mediums. She will be a reporter for CBC Fredericton after graduation.
Sekou Hendrickson is a writer, journalist and essayist from Warwick, Bermuda. He plans to graduate in May 2018 from St. Thomas University with a double major in Creative Writing and Journalism and a minor in Psychology. After enrolling at St. Thomas, he decided to find stories in the voices of others and worked as a writer for his school paper The Aquinian and his hometown paper The Royal Gazette. When he’s not writing stories and reading for school or work, Sekou can found talking about movies, working on music, or messing round in the kitchen.
Vincent Jiang is a journalism student from St. Thomas University. Hailing from China, he experiences cultural differences between two nations, and wishes to strive for greater journalism. Vincent is proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and many Apple-based softwares, with specialties in video editing, graphic design, communications and midi composition.
William Cumming is a writer, photographer and journalist living in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Currently in his third year of the Journalism and Communications program at St. Thomas University, he loves telling people’s stories in new and exciting ways.
Troy Glover is a 2018 St. Thomas University graduate with a major in journalism and a minor in criminology. He’s a camera operator at heart with a soft spot for video games. Troy is from the Oromocto area and has lived in New Brunswick his entire life. He loves narrating and listening to horror stories online, as well as video editing anything he can get his hands on.
Alyssa is a third-year student from Moncton, New Brunswick. She is work toward her obtaining a journalism major and a double minor in communications and psychology. She will be a reporter for CBC Fredericton this summer.
Mitchell is from Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. He’s working toward a double major in journalism and science and technology studies. When he’s not playing rugby or working on his degree, Mitchell volunteers his time in the community.
Tiziana is a journalism and political science student from Lima, Peru. She loves keeping up with the changes that are happening in the journalism world and growing her skills to tell stories. She is off to new adventures in India.
